Do we really feel it when we are dying?
Do we ? Our body and senses talk to us whether we listen or not. If you don't believe in natural instinct or intuition, the body physically shows us signs too. Loss of appetite, dehydration as the metabolism slows down causing fatigue and wanting to sleep. As death nears, the part of the brain responsible for regulating body temperature begins to fail resulting in high temperature this moment or a feeling of very cold the next moment. Sense of smell starts to deteriorate. The shutting down of a dying person's system and the changes of the metabolism from the breath and skin and body fluids create an odor like acetone or nail polish. My take on it is, most people surprise themselves and are ready for it. Even if they've been afraid of dying their entire lives, when it comes, their bodies will be ready.
